Wednesday May 8th 6:30-8:00PM @ Treasure Valley Scout Reservation (West Lodge)

What is a Unit Commissioner? As a youth member, you may not have been aware of your Unit Commissioner. In simple terms, the Commissioner is a dedicated volunteer (not from the unit) that assists the unit’s adult leaders deliver a great Scouting experience. They have a passion for ensuring that units are providing an outstanding program for the next generation of young people.
What does it take to become a Unit Commissioner? Anyone who represents the values of the Scout Oath and Law, and wants to pay forward the positive impact that Scouting had on them, is a candidate to be Unit Commissioner. You would need to be a registered District Member-at-Large, complete Youth Protection Training online, and complete a background check.
During the Meet & Greet, you’ll learn about the Commissioner role, training opportunities, time commitment, and answers to any questions you may have. We look forward to seeing you!
