NOVA Fest

Does your Wolf, Bear, Webelos, or Arrow of Light scout enjoy STEM activities? If so, Nova Fest is the place for them! We will be offering a selection of the STEM Nova Awards where scouts can earn a patch for completing their first Nova award, or a Pi Device that can be pinned to their patch for each subsequent Nova that they complete.
In addition to the 90-minute live virtual classroom, participants will have prerequisites and there may be additional assignments to complete after class.
10:00 am Out of This World – discover the wonders of space exploration
10:00 am Cub Scouts Can Code – explore how people instruct computers and how they affect your everyday life
1:00 pm Up and Away – explore how the world of fluid dynamics affects your everyday life
1:00 pm Fearful Symmetry – explore how symmetry affects your everyday life
Sessions are $10 each or $15 if you register for two. A materials list, if necessary, will be provided in advance.
A parent or guardian should plan to be within earshot during the live session.
Nova Fest is open to all registered Wolf, Bear, Webelos, and Arrow of Light Scouts, regardless of Council.
