GENERAL INFORMATION
Treasure Valley West Camp

Derby runs 9:00 am – 2:45pm
Awards presentation and Closing Ceremony outside the West Lodge at 3:00pm
Event ends 3:15 pm.
Cost: $5 per Scout (includes patch)
Adults are fee
Extra patches $3
Patrol and Troop registration 8:00-8:45am at the West Lodge the day of the Klondike.
REGISTRATION
- Select and complete the Unit Registration Ticket below ($0)
- Select the number of Scouts you’d like to register
PATCHES
There will be a patch design contest again this year. The contest is open to youth and adults. All designs must include the following items on the patch.
- Quinapoxet District, Klondike Derby, 2024 and a fleur-de-lis
- The name and unit affiliation of the designer on the reverse side of the submitted design.
All patch designs must be submitted to the registration table in the West Lodge by 8:45 am on the day of the Klondike Derby.
LUNCH
Each patrol is responsible to supply their own lunch.
BEVERAGES
Free hot chocolate and coffee will be available in the West Lodge. Participants are responsible to bring their own cup.
OVERNIGHT CAMPING
Units wishing to stay overnight should make reservations through the council office.
SLEDS
Patrols are encouraged to (but not required to) use a Klondike sled of their design choice.
FIREWOOD
No firewood may be brought to camp. They will be plenty available.
EQUIPMENT
Each sled or backpack should Be Prepared with equipment. No specific equipment list this year. Junior Leaders discuss with your Troop what you think is needed to Be Prepared for Finding your way, Emergency situations, Pioneering projects, Fire starting Measuring, Communicating.
