Join Scouting Day
September 23
Saturday September 23rd is the Heart of New England Council’s “Join Scouting Day“.
A one-day council wide effort to attract more families to Cub Scout Packs, Scouts BSA Troops and Venture Crews.
Units are encouraged to establish a Join Scouting Day event or activity in a highly visible outdoor
location that show Scouting in its best light, with youth having fun and learning new skills. Locations could be
sports fields, parks or any open community space.
Council Objectives for Join Scouting Day
Provide units with information on the best way to recruit new youth and their families into Scouting
Provide printed flyers, yard signs and posters for units to use in promoting their Join Scouting Day event/activity
Units that submit new youth applications between August 1 and September 30, 2023 will receive an incentive!
