Fishing Basics for Cub Scout Leaders and Scouts/Crew/Sea Scouts

This training is for adults and youth* 15 years of age or older that will prepare Cub Leaders and possible Camp Counselors for the new Cub Scout Fishing Program Changes that take effect on June 1, 2024. Must be registered members of the BSA to participate.
Join Heart of New England Council’s Fishing Team on one of the following Zoom (online) training dates/times to complete a “fishing basics” course. It will have you ready to teach the new and improved Cub Scout fishing activity requirements!
Each training session consists of two zoom sessions and you have the option to choose one of the three options to suit your schedule:
Session 1 – March 6 and March 13 7-9pm
Session 2 – April 6 and April 13 9-11am
Session 3 May 2 and May 9 7-9pm
Sessions are limited to 70 because it is being delivered via a Zoom call. We hope these classes will fill quickly…don’t delay your registration!

The only “catches”…
(1.) Cost is only $5 per person…covers cost minimally.
(2.) Registered adult Cub Scout Leaders and registered 15 years or older Scouts BSA, Venture Crew Member, or Sea Scout can sign up for this course.
(3.) Requires 100% attendance and participation in the two classes.
(4.) Requires you to teach the fundamentals to Cub Scouts, and we will need you to help with Cub Scout fishing events.
