John Zarrella is President and Founder of Research Results Inc, a Market Research Consulting firm based in Fitchburg. A lifelong resident of Fitchburg, he has a deeply-rooted pride in his city. Building on the civic work of his parents, John is an ardent supporter of numerous community groups and nonprofit organizations in Central Massachusetts. Some of the causes he has championed over the last 40+ years include the New England Market Research Association, local Little League programs, countless committees at Saint Anthony’s of Padua Parish, Our Father’s House, as well as numerous others. John has always been active in local politics, currently sitting on the Licensing Commission for the City. He passed that love of civic duty to his son, Anthony, who currently serves as President of the Fitchburg City Council. John also has made sure to foster that sense of giving throughout his company, as evidenced by Research Results being recognized as 2020 Philanthropic Company of the Year by the Market Research Education foundation. While not working or doing community work, John is devoted to his family including wife, Victoria, sons Anthony and Michael and the two lights of his life – granddaughters Miriam and Juliette.
The Heart of New England Council has honored a number of leading corporate and community leaders in Central MA with this award. The Distinguished Citizen is chosen for his/her long standing commitment to our local communities. Their efforts have helped improve the quality of life for thousands of people who are less fortunate. Their tireless leadership, energy and vitality have been a true inspiration to all who service within numerous charitable organizations. The values learned through the Boy Scouts are much the same as the values held by our Distinguished Citizen – good citizenship, outstanding moral fiber with a dedication to other, and for living their lives by the Scout Oath and Law.
This event raises awareness for the good work of Scouting in Central MA, as well as necessary funds to serve over 4,000 young people in our local communities with lessons in self-confidence, character development and leadership.
