Introduction to Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) Training

WHO IS BALOO FOR?
BALOO training is for Cub Scout leaders – any registered adult leader, Pack Committee, Den Leaders, Cubmasters. At least 1 person with BALOO training is required for any and all Cub Scout den or pack outdoor event, including pack camping overnighters and Webelos den overnighters.
WHAT IS TAUGHT?
BALOO training has two components—an online component and a practical, hands-on component. Both components must be completed to qualify as a “TRAINED” Cub Scout outdoor leader. The online component must be completed prior to the practical component. The online training contains introductory and basic information that will be built upon during the practical training.
Participants will be sleeping in tents. Experience is not necessary and contact the leader if you or someone in your pack does not have a tent or overnight gear.
Program fee includes training materials, snacks, and meals.
NOTE: Online portion of the BALOO training must be completed to be awarded the BALOO certificate. Please complete the online portion before your arrival and bring in the certification.

Mess Kit / Water Bottle / Coffee Cup
